Knicks cruise past Lakers

The New York Knicks cruised to an easy 71-63 victory over the Phoenix Suns in the first game at the NBA Summer League Monday afternoon from UNLV's Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.

After trailing by two points in the third quarter, the Knicks outscored the Lakers 15-4 in the final four minutes of the period to regain the lead for good. New York led by as many as 17 in the game as they earned their first victory at the desert classic.
