Sacramento Kings waive G Aaron Brooks

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento Kings have waived guard Aaron Brooks.

The Kings announced the decision Friday night during their game in San Antonio. Brooks averaged eight points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 20.8 minutes per game. He played in 46 games, starting 20.

The Seattle native had talked in recent weeks about the possibility of playing in his hometown next season. The Maloof family has agreed to sell the Kings to a Seattle group led by hedge-fund manager Chris Hansen ...
