Bum knee keeps delaying guard's return
NEW YORK -- The New York Knicks placed guards Allan Houston and Jamison Brewer and center Bruno Sundov on the injured list Monday.

Houston will start the season on the injured list because of chronic pain in his left knee. He sat out the final 32 games of the regular season and the playoffs last season with knee pain. He averaged 18.5 points for the Knicks, who were swept by the New Jersey Nets in the first round.
Houston, who joined the Knicks in 1996, averaged a career-high 22.5 points in 2002-03.
Brewer has a sprained right big toe and Sundov right Achilles tendinitis.
The Knicks open the season Wednesday night at Minnesota.
