Washington Wizards: The club placed forward Antawn Jamison on the injured list Friday.

Jamison's injury is listed as right knee tendinitis, but he has been bothered by a sore knee and back for several weeks.

Jamison is averaging 19.6 points, third on the team behind Gilbert Arenas and Larry Hughes, and he leads the team in rebounds with 7.8 per game. Jamison played in his first All-Star game last month, but he is averaging just 7.8 points and 4 rebounds over his last six games.

Jamison's streak of 386 games played ended when he sat March 8 against the New York Knicks. He returned for the next two games, but didn't play in Wednesday's victory over Atlanta.

To make room for Jamison on the injured list, the Wizards released forward Samaki Walker. Walker appeared in 14 games this season, averaging 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds.

Houston Rockets: Forward Juwan Howard, expected to miss a month with a sprained knee, was placed on the injured list Friday by the Houston Rockets, who activated guard Moochie Norris.

Norris was on the IL with plantar fasciaitis in his left foot. He averaged 2.0 points in three games with Houston and 2.5 points in 35 games overall. The 6-1 guard was re-acquired from the Knicks on February 24.

Howard hurt his right knee in Monday's win at Golden State and was diagnosed with the sprain Tuesday. In his first season with the Rockets and 11th overall, he is averaging 9.6 points and 5.7 rebounds in 61 games.

In 791 games with Washington, Dallas, Denver, Orlando and Houston, Howard has averaged 17.2 points and 7.3 rebounds. He was acquired from the Magic in the offseason in the deal that also landed Tracy McGrady.

The Rockets (39-25) have won six straight games heading into Friday's home contest against Boston.

Los Angeles Lakers: Forward Lamar Odom strained his left shoulder at Indiana on Friday night and did not return.

Odom first injured the shoulder in the first half, but played through the pain until aggravating it in the third quarter. He had nine points and three rebounds in 21 minutes before leaving.

Odom's injury will be reevaluated Saturday or Sunday in Los Angeles.

Utah Jazz: Carlos Boozer's sprained right foot will likely keep the Jazz big man out for the rest of March, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

"The doctor gave medical orders to Carlos to keep his foot completely immobilized, except during physical therapy, for three weeks," Boozer's agent Rob Pelinka told the paper Thursday. "He found some inflammation related to tendonitis in Carlos' foot and recommended a period of rest to calm the [inflammation]."

Boozer injured his foot Feb. 14 and will miss his 14th game Friday night in New Jersey.

Memphis Grizzlies: The club activated guard Bonzi Wells from the injured list before Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Wells missed seven games after being placed on the injured list March 4 with a herniated disc.

In 51 games this season, Wells is averaging 10.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

To make room for Wells, Memphis placed guard Dahntay Jones on the injured list with left quadricep tendinitis. Jones is averaging 4.5 points in 44 games, including seven starts.

Jones was on the injured list with left knee tendinitis until March 14. He had played in the Grizzlies' last two games since being activated, scoring two points in limited playing time.
