Alabama sophomore forward has not hired an agent
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama forward Jermareo Davidson has entered the NBA draft, coach Mark Gottfried said Thursday.
Davidson has not hired an agent, so he remains eligible to return for his junior season.
"I have advised him, obviously, not to hire an agent and he has not," Gottfried said. "He wants to test the waters and has assured me on numerous occasions that he will return to Alabama if he is not projected as a first-round draft pick.
"He is in good academic standing and is on target to graduate in the spring of 2007."
The 6-foot-10, 210-pound Davidson averaged 7.6 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds as a sophomore, starting all 32 games. He shot 58 percent.
Crimson Tide forward Kennedy Winston has already signed with an agent and won't return for his senior season.
