Orlando Magic: Magic assistant general manager Otis Smith doesn't expect forward Grant Hill -- recovering from hernia surgery -- to play again until mid-December, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Hill had surgery Monday. The prognosis was for three-to-six weeks, and Smith said, "I was always thinking six all along."

"It's not one of those things we want to hurry and rush him back," he told the Orlando Sentinel. "It will be six weeks before he's able to do what he's used to doing."

Smith said there were no complications or surprises in Hill's surgery, saying, "They found just a small tear."
