Hawks' Smith suspended 2 games for elbowing Bell

NEW YORK -- The NBA suspended Atlanta Hawks
forward Josh Smith two games without pay Tuesday for elbowing Phoenix Suns guard Raja Bell on Sunday.

The incident occurred with 10:31 remaining in the third quarter
of the Hawks' 112-94 loss to the Suns at America West Arena.

Smith will serve his suspension against the Denver Nuggets on
Tuesday night and against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

NBA senior vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson
made the announcement.
