ORLANDO, Fla. -- Detroit scoring leader Richard Hamilton missed the Pistons' game against Orlando on Friday night because of a death in his family.

Hamilton flew home to Tulsa, Okla., for the services directly from Miami, where Detroit beat the Heat 95-82 Thursday night.

The guard is averaging 20 points, three rebounds and three assists for the NBA-leading Pistons.
