Looking to add depth on the frontcourt, the Atlanta Hawks appear to have turned to a familiar face.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on its Web site Sunday night that the Hawks have reached an agreement on a two-year, $6 million contract with center Lorenzen Wright.
The 10-year veteran would back up emerging center Zaza Pachulia.
Wright enjoyed his best offensive season as a pro with the Hawks in 2000-01, averaging 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds in 71 games. The 6-foot-11, 250-pounder averaged 5.8 points and 5.1 rebounds last season for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Wright began his career with the Los Angeles Clippers, who selected him with the sixth pick out of Memphis in the 1996 draft. He played two years in Atlanta starting in 1999 and has spent the last five seasons with Memphis.
