Clippers beat BC Khimki 98-91 in exhibition game
MOSCOW -- Shaun Livingston scored 19 points and the Los Angeles Clippers beat BC Khimki 98-91 Friday in an exhibition game.
The Clippers, one of four NBA teams taking part in a European preseason tour, have been in Moscow since Oct. 1 for training camp and will also play Euroleague champion CSKA Moscow on Saturday.
Center Chris Kaman and Corey Maggette each added 17 points for Los Angeles. Cuttino Mobley scored 15.
Melvin Booker led Khimki with 19 points, going 4-of-9 on 3-pointers. Boris Gorenc scored 17.
The Clippers are the first NBA team to play in Russia since the Atlanta Hawks in 1988.
Later Friday, the Phoenix Suns played against Virtus Lottomatica Roma in Italy.
On Thursday, FC Barcelona beat the Philadelphia 76ers 104-99, the third time an international club has beaten an NBA team since 1988. Also, San Antonio defeated Asvel Villeurbanne 115-90 in France.
The Clippers finished 47-35 last season, only their second winning record since moving from Buffalo to California in 1978, before coming within one victory of the Western Conference finals.
They will play eight preseason games before the regular season opener in Phoenix on Nov. 1.
