Bulls exercise options on Gordon, Deng, Khryapa

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls exercised fourth-year contract options for the 2007-08 season on guard Ben Gordon and forwards Luol Deng and Viktor Khryapa on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Gordon has averaged 16.0 points while shooting .417 from the field and making 42.1 percent of his 3-point attempts in two seasons. The third pick in the 2004 draft, he became the only rookie to be named the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year when he averaged 15.1 points.

The 6-9 Deng, acquired on draft night in 2004 after Phoenix took him with the seventh pick, has averaged 13.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in his career.

Khryapa, a versatile defender who has averaged 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds, was acquired from Portland on draft night along with the rights to forward Tyrus Thomas for the rights to forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
