Wallace draws automatic suspension for 18th technical
Wallace was whistled for technical No. 18 for arguing a call in the second period of Friday night's 90-89 loss to the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center. Wallace served his suspension on Sunday, but the short-handed Pistons still beat up the Bucks 121-95.
"I wish they would review the whole 48 [minutes]," Pistons coach Flip Saunders said Friday night. "If they're going to give him a 'T' for that, there should have been about four others called at least."
An NBA player or coach receives an automatic one-game suspension after receiving his 18th technical foul in the same season. Every other technical beyond that (20, 22, 24, etc.) results in a one-game suspension without pay.
Wallace was suspended for one game earlier this month after picking up his 16th technical.
Wallace, who scored 21 in the loss to San Antonio, is averaging 12.6 points and 7.8 rebounds a game this season.
