Suns forward Grant Hill exercised his player option for the 2008-09 season, the team announced Thursday.

The 35-year-old Hill, who signed with Phoenix last July, averaged 13.1 points, 5 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting at least 50 percent from the field (.503) last season. Hill also turned in a career-high .867 percentage from the free-throw line.

Hill, whose career has been hampered by injuries, appeared in 70 games last season, his most since 1999-2000.
