MINNEAPOLIS -- Chicago Bulls guard Larry Hughes left Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a dislocated right shoulder.

Hughes left the game with 3:16 to play in the third quarter and did not return after getting his arm caught under Minnesota forward Mike Miller as the two dove for a loose ball. Hughes was leading Chicago with 21 points when he left.

He will be re-evaluated on Thursday in Chicago. Coach Vinny Del Negro said it was too early to know when Hughes would return.

"You've got to put the MASH unit back together and see who rolls out there for practice tomorrow," Del Negro said. "It makes it hard, no question."

Hughes joins Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas and Michael Ruffin on the sidelines.

Hughes, averaging 13 points per game in the preseason, is fighting for playing time in a crowded backcourt featuring Kirk Hinrich, Gordon and No. 1 draft pick Derrick Rose.
