Howard reaches 5,000 career rebounds

Magic man Dwight Howard became the youngest player to reach 5,000 career rebounds on Monday night, surpassing a legend.

MIAMI -- Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard became the youngest player in NBA history to get 5,000 career rebounds Monday night, when he grabbed his 11th of the game against the Miami Heat.
Howard reached the mark at the age of 23 years, 112 days -- smashing the previous record held by Wilt Chamberlain, who was 25 years, 128 days old when he got his 5,000th rebound.
Howard was already the youngest player in NBA history to reach the 1,000-, 2,000-, 3,000- and 4,000-rebound marks.
