Hornets pick up guard Hart
A hard fall in the fourth-quarter of the Hornets' loss Wednesday to Oklahoma City left Thornton with a lower-back contusion that was expected to keep him out of Friday night's home game against Philadelphia.
Thornton has been averaging 10.9 points. With Chris Paul's knee injury, the Hornets will try to stay in the Western Conference playoff race without their starting backcourt.
Hornets coach Jeff Bowers says Thornton is day-to-day and has not been ruled out for the Hornets' upcoming two-game road trip beginning Saturday night in Charlotte.
