Cavs to rest Antawn Jamison

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- Cavaliers starting forwards Antawn Jamison and Anthony Parker missed practice and are unlikely to play when Cleveland hosts CSKA Moscow in an exhibition on Saturday.

Jamison sprained his left knee and Parker sprained two fingers on his right (shooting) hand during the Cavs' preseason win over San Antonio in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

The injuries are the latest to hit the Cavs, who have been without starting guard Mo Williams (groin) and forward/center Anderson Varejao (ankle, personal reasons) through their first five preseason games and have yet to have their five starters on the floor together.

Cavs coach Byron Scott is not overly concerned about the injuries to Jamison and Parker. He's confident both will be ready for the Oct. 27 season opener.

Jamison was sidelined earlier with tendinitis in the same knee.
