TORONTO -- Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is missing his second straight game with a sprained left knee, sitting out against the Toronto Raptors.

The NBA's leading scorer at 27.3 points per game, Durant was injured when he fell awkwardly in the fourth quarter of Monday's win over the New Orleans Hornets. He sat out Wednesday's triple-overtime win at New Jersey, the third game he's missed this season. The Thunder are 3-0 without Durant, who is day to day.

Serge Ibaka starts in Durant's place against the Raptors on Friday.

Coach Scott Brooks says Durant's injured knee is improving daily, and he hoped to have him back against Toronto. Durant will be re-evaluated Sunday before the Thunder host the Golden State Warriors.

The second overall pick in the 2007 draft, Durant played all 82 games last season and averaged an NBA-high 30.1 points per game.
