CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Bobcats guard Stephen Jackson says Larry Brown's ouster as coach was needed because "nobody wanted to play no more" as players resisted the coach's slow offensive pace.

Jackson said Sunday "we needed a change" after beginning 9-19 under the Hall of Famer. The Bobcats have since gone 4-2 by running more under interim coach Paul Silas.

Jackson says players "didn't agree with what was going on" with Brown, who led the Bobcats to the franchise's first playoff berth last season. Brown wasn't pleased with several offseason moves, including the departures of Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler.

Brown didn't immediately return a message seeking comment.
