OAKLAND, Calif. -- Golden State Warriors guard Charlie Bell has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
The team said Saturday that it informed the NBA that Bell was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Friday in Oakland.
Bell said in a statement released by the team that he is cooperating with law enforcement officials and won't comment further.
Warriors general manager Larry Riley says the team is "disappointed that one of our players would put himself in a questionable position" and that the organization is taking the situation "very seriously."
Bell has appeared in 15 games this season with Golden State.
