Danilo Gallinari joins Nuggets injury list

DENVER -- Danilo Gallinari left the Nuggets' game against Minnesota after spraining his right ankle in the first quarter Saturday night.

Gallinari went out with 1:06 left and didn't return. X-rays were negative and the Nuggets said Gallinari was day to day.

Denver still defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 130-106 behind Ty Lawson's 37 points. Lawson set an NBA record by hitting his first 10 3-point attempts in the game.

The Nuggets have been hit by a rash of injuries. Arron Afflalo missed his 11th game out of 15 with a strained left hamstring and center Timofey Mozgov sat out with sprains to his left knee and left ankle.

Also, forward Wilson Chandler was held out as a precaution as he deals with a troublesome left ankle.
