James posts double-double for Nets
ORLANDO -- While the New Jersey Nets continue to pursue some of the marquee free agents still available, they also continue to impress at the 2010 AirTran Airways Pro Summer League.
Williams racked up a game-high 24 points and James, who was traded to New Jersey on draft night after being selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, scored 21 and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Derrick Favors, meanwhile, showed spectators some of his low-post skills -- finishing with 12 points and three rebounds. Depending on whether or not the Nets sign one of the premier power forwards that are available in free agency, Favors may or may not be the starting 4 at the start of the season.
First-round pick Paul George recorded 10 points for Indiana, which shot just 39 percent from the floor and 6-of-26 from 3-point range. Lance Stephenson led the Pacers with 15 points, while Josh McRoberts scored 11.
Unless Danny Granger is traded prior to the start of the 2010-11 season, it will be interesting to see how he and George mesh in Indiana. Before the draft, many NBA analysts compared George's overall game to Granger's.
