News: The Knicks decided late Thursday not to offer a contract to Iverson, the New York Times reports.
Spin: Team officials were reportedly interested in Iverson for what he could bring to the team in terms of skills, but they decided against signing him due to his history of problems on and off the court. The Knicks seemed like a good fit for Iverson, but they chose to move on and let their young players continue to develop. Iverson may have a tough time finding a new team, but it's a good bet that he'll latch on somewhere in the next few weeks. |
