Pau Gasol says the Los Angeles Lakers should take greater advantage of their inside game in the remainder of their series against the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Daily News reported.

Gasol is shooting 62.5 percent from the field in the Western Conference finals, now tied 2-2 after Denver's 120-101 win in Game 4 on Monday. But he took just four shots in the second half of a game in which the Lakers hoisted 31 3-point attempts and made nine -- a 29 percent shooting percentage.

"I wish we would take more advantage of our height and the inside game, because it's pretty effective. It's unfortunate that we don't recognize it enough," Gasol said, according to the Daily News.

"It's frustrating because we lose games," Gasol said, according to the report. "I don't mind when we win, because the bottom line is, I want to win. But I feel like we have an advantage, and I'm effective, we should stay with what works and what's effective and not get away from it. It just doesn't make a lot of sense."

Asked if there was any reason Gasol didn't get the ball more, Lakers coach Phil Jackson said, "No. You can ask him when he comes in about it," according to the report.

"Some of it is ball movement. Some of it is their defense. Some of it is their help defense that's coming down. Some of it, I'm sure, is the amount of touches he's actually getting in the post," Jackson said according to the report.
