Point guard still hobbled by back

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota point guard Sam Cassell will not play in Saturday's Game 5 between the Timberwolves
and the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals, TNT announced prior to the game.

Cassell, an All-Star, has been nagged this postseason by back spasms and
an injured hip.

Cassell was held out of the starting lineup and played only five
minutes in the Wolves' loss in Game 4, going 1-for-4 for three
points. Darrick Martin started in his place.

The Lakers lead the best-of-seven series 3-1.
