Dallas accelerated at the end of the regular season, winning nine straight and 16 of 18 after Avery Johnson slid over one chair. Dirk Nowitzki had his best season and the Mavs still know how to take advantage of any mismatch on the floor. Now defense is emphasized as well.
Be ready for a track meet. When Steve Nash gets the ball, four others are sprinting to open spots getting ready to shoot. Screens get him into the lane and he finds open people. 62 wins = home-court advantage throughout. This team is fun to watch. The only question, are they deep enough? No injuries please, especially to Nash. The starters missed only 12 games.
