INDIANAPOLIS -- Peja Stojakovic sat out Game 6 of Indiana's Eastern Conference playoff series against the New Jersey Nets on Thursday night with a sore right knee.

The Pacers are facing elimination without their second-leading scorer in the regular season. Stojakovic also missed Games 2, 4 and 5, all Pacers losses. The 6-10 small forward is averaging 11 points in the playoffs, eight below his regular-season average with the Pacers, but Indiana has won both games in which he has played.

The Pacers weren't sure about Stojakovic's status until less than an hour before tipoff. Rookie Danny Granger started in his place.

Guard Jamaal Tinsley also missed his fourth straight game with a sore right Achilles' tendon.
