Suns' Bell in starting lineup for Game 4 against Dallas
PHOENIX -- Suns guard Raja Bell, who had missed the previous two games with a partially torn left calf, was in the starting lineup for Game 4 of the Western Conference finals against Dallas on Tuesday night.
He had only nine points but gave Phoenix much-needed intensity in 32 minutes of play as the Suns tied the best-of-seven series 2-2.
Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni said team doctors had cleared Bell, who was injured in Game 1. On Monday, Bell told reporters that he had been able to walk on a treadmill but said he didn't expect to play in Game 4.
Without Bell, the Suns lost Games 2 and 3. After Game 3, Suns guard Steve Nash said the team needed Bell's fiery play.
Going into the game, Bell was averaging 15.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the postseason.
Phoenix is 1-5 without Bell this season, 1-2 in the playoffs.
