Fantasy tip
Chris Bosh
Don't look now, but with VC, Bosh, Rose, Marshall, Alston and Araujo, the Raptors could have six solid fantasy contributors.

Look for new coach Sam Mitchell to unshackle the offense and let Vince Carter roam free.

Rafer Alston can direct a fast break and hit from the outside. Chris Bosh can finish inside. Jalen Rose can do both.

If Mitchell can get VC to play and the team can stay relatively healthy (Alvin Williams is already out with a knee injury), the Raptors will be competitive. Carter is still that good.

Roster analysis
The starters: If Vince comes to play, this outfit is OK. Big if.
Pos. Player Comment Grade*
PF Chris Bosh Surprise as a rook; put up 11 and 7 last season 7
SF Vince Carter Wants out, but won't get his wish 8
C Loren Woods Third team in four seasons. Yes, the Raps are that desperate 4
SG Jalen Rose Scoring sank by 7 ppg last season. But he'll bounce back 6
PG Rafer Alston 2.91 assists-to-TOs ratio. Pretty good for a playground legend 7
BENCH Morris Peterson can play SG or SF. Donyell Marshall's a double-double threat. But Jerome Moiso and rook Rafael Araujo don't bring much else. 5
