Pistons look to stay unbeaten when they visit Blazers

Detroit (5-0) at Portland (2-2), 10:30 pm EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- The Detroit Pistons are the lone unbeaten team in the NBA and look to stay that way when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

The Pistons have had no problems adjusting to the new system under coach Flip Saunders, scoring a fourth-best 104 points a game. Detroit is yielding only 89 points a game to remain one of the best defensive teams in the league.

Richard Hamilton continued to be a beneficiary of the motion offense by scoring 12 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Pistons rallied for a 111-104 win in Phoenix on Thursday.

Chauncey Billups scored 27 points, including a 3-pointer with 16 seconds left to seal the triumph that made Detroit 5-0 for the first time since they started 9-0 in 1988.

Zach Randolph collected a season-high 29 points and 12 rebounds to help Portland post a 95-83 win over New York on Wednesday. In his last two games, Randolph is averaging 25 points and 12.5 rebounds.

The Pistons and Trail Blazers split their season series last season, 1-1, with each team winning on the other's home floor. Detroit is 3-0 on the road this season while Portland is 2-0 here.
