Brown, Knicks look for second win in as many days

New York (1-5) at Utah (4-3), 9:00 pm EST

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Larry Brown and the New York Knicks hope to gain some momentum from their first win of the season when they meet the Utah Jazz on Monday.

After dropping five straight decisions to open the campaign, Brown's Knicks posted a 105-95 triumph over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday to notch their first victory of the young season.

Rookie Channing Frye scored 19 points off the bench and Stephon Marbury added 17 and seven assists as New York staved off a furious fourth-quarter comeback attempt.

The Jazz return to the Delta Center after a 2-2 road trip.

Utah made a valiant rally in the second half Saturday before dropping a 103-98 decision to the Chicago Bulls.

Mehmet Okur continued his torrid season-opening pace, scoring 33 points and grabbing 17 rebounds for the Jazz.

Utah will probably have to play Monday's game without star forward Andrei Kirilenko, who sprained his ankle in the first quarter Saturday and is expected to miss at least two weeks.
