NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics will attempt to win
their first road game of the season when they visit the New York
Knicks on Sunday.
The Celtics are winless in four games away from home this season
and have dropped two of their last three overall following a
106-102 home loss to Chicago on Friday.
Paul Pierce recorded season highs of 43 and four steals and Mark
Blount added 14 points off Boston's bench to reach double
figures for the first time in five games.
After an 0-5 start to the season, which included a 114-100
overtime loss against the Celtics in the opener for both clubs,
the Knicks have split their last 10 games.
New York was dealt a 106-98 loss by Detroit on Friday as coach
Larry Brown faced the team he guided to the NBA Finals the
previous two seasons for the first time.
Jamal Crawford scored 22 points off the bench - his second
consecutive 20-point effort - and rookie Channing Frye added 21
for the third time in four games.
Boston and New York split their two meetings here last season.
