Pistons, Hornets each look to get back into win column

Detroit (26-5) at New Orleans (15-18) 8:00 pm EST

OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- After having their respective winning streaks snapped Saturday, the Detroit Pistons and New Orleans Hornets each look to get back on track Tuesday when they square off in an interconference matchup.

The Pistons had their 10-game home winning streak snapped with a 94-90 overtime setback against Utah despite 24 points and eight assists from Chauncey Billups.

Richard Hamilton added 18 points and Ben Wallace pulled down 16 rebounds for Detroit, which had won 11 of its previous 12 games.

The Hornets had their season-best three-game run halted Saturday with a 101-93 defeat in Atlanta.

Speedy Claxton poured in a career-high 29 points and Kirk Snyder added a personal-best 22 for the Hornets, who were playing their first game since rookie point guard Chris Paul tore a ligament in his thumb Friday against Portland.

The Pistons won the two meetings between the teams last season by a combined 37 points.
