Raptors have now lost nine in a row at home

TORONTO (AP) -- The Sacramento Kings proved they can win on the road, too.

Sacramento's Bobby Jackson finds an angle to between Toronto's Antonio Davis, left, and Hakeem Olajuwon.

Chris Webber scored 31 points and Mike Bibby scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half to lead the Kings to a 116-113 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

Webber, playing with a dislocated right index finger, added 15 rebounds for the Kings, who went 4-1 on their road trip. Sacramento improved to 47-18 overall and 17-15 away from Arco Arena.

"We're relying too much on our home games, but a road trip like this helps," Bibby said.

Vince Carter, who finished with 22 points, fouled out with 3:07 remaining for the Raptors, who have lost 16 of their past 17 games to fall to seven games below .500 (30-37). Toronto has lost nine in a row at home.

Webber said it didn't matter that Carter fouled out.

"I think a lot of guys in the league are more worried about Dell Curry coming off a screen than Vince Carter," Webber said. "I was more worried about Dell Curry at that point."

Carter said it didn't matter, either.

"We have a team that is capable and who's to say it would be any different if I was on the floor," said Carter, who is playing with a strained left quadriceps.

The Raptors, in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, need to go 11-4 in their last 15 games to reach .500.

"It might sound far-fetched to some, but there are 12 guys in his locker room that believe it," Carter said.

Toronto coach Lenny Wilkens said it could be too late to make the playoffs.

"It could be, but we're not going to give up," Wilkens said. "It doesn't look good, but why quit?"

Doug Christie added 18 points for the Kings, including a three-point play that gave Sacramento a 113-109 lead with 25.3 seconds left.

Toronto's Morris Peterson then missed badly on 3-point attempt.

Webber followed with two free throws, giving Sacramento a 115-109 lead with 20.7 seconds left.

Williams made a layup, but Sacramento's Bobby Jackson made one of two free throws with just more than 10 seconds remaining to seal the victory.

"I never believed we weren't a road team," Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said. "We have beaten some good teams on the road like Seattle and San Antonio. Our problem has been that we haven't been consistent on the road."

Bibby had 11 points in the third quarter as Sacramento took a three-point lead into the fourth.

Carter had 13 points and Peterson 10 as Toronto built a 63-58 lead by halftime. Webber scored 21 points in the first half.
