MILWAUKEE (AP) -- While Michael Redd and the Milwaukee Bucks enjoyed an easy romp, Tracy McGrady had a hard time being on the opposite side.
"Guys quit," McGrady said after the Bucks beat his Orlando Magic 127-104 Tuesday night. "We absolutely quit. It was embarrassing."
Redd scored 27 points in Milwaukee's highest-scoring game of the season. McGrady had 41 points in the Magic's eighth straight loss.
"Everyone got involved at both ends of the court," Redd said. "We were aggressive and pushed the ball up the court."
Keith Van Horn, acquired by the Bucks on Sunday in a three-team trade, passed his physical before the game. But he didn't play, and instead headed back to New York to take care of family matters.
Van Horn also will miss the Bucks' game at Detroit on Wednesday night. The Bucks got him in a deal that sent forward Tim Thomas to the Knicks and center Joel Przybilla to the Atlanta Hawks.
Desmond Mason started in place of Van Horn and scored 13 points.
Joe Smith scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds, Brian Skinner had 16 points and Marcus Haislip added a career-high 13 points for the Bucks.
Rookie T.J. Ford matched his season high with 12 assists for Milwaukee, which had lost four of its last five.
"Those guys were having fun out there," McGrady said about the Bucks' all-around dominating play. "I was jealous."
Keith Bogans, Drew Gooden and Gordan Giricek each had eight points for Orlando.
McGrady said a similar effort Wednesday night at home against Utah would not be good.
"If we do this tomorrow night in front of our fans, I hope they boo us," McGrady said.
The Bucks closed the first half with a 19-2 run, punctuated by a pair of dunks by both Mason and Dan Gadzuric and capped by Redd's long 3-pointer at the buzzer for a 71-46 lead.
It was the highest total in a half for the Bucks this season. Their previous best was 67 against Orlando on Jan. 21.
Zaza Pachulia, who had three points for Orlando, made his second NBA start at center for the injured Andrew DeClerq. After the Bucks took a nine-point lead just four minutes into the game, Gooden replaced him.
When Gadzuric banked in a short jumper for the Bucks' 118th point with 4:19 left to play, Milwaukee set a season high for points. They had 117 in a loss to Sacramento just before the All-Star break.
Game notes
McGrady scored 14 of Orlando's 20 first-quarter points. ... The starting five of Mason, Smith, Skinner, Ford and Redd was just the eighth different lineup that Terry Porter has used this season. ... After Bill Kennedy called a technical on Magic coach Johnny Davis in the third quarter, Davis yelled, "That's first call you got right all night." ... The Bucks have won 11 of the last 12 regular-season games against Orlando at the Bradley Center.
