Marion scores 29 as Suns blow out Sonics

PHOENIX (AP) -- Shawn Marion scored 29 points to lead the Phoenix Suns over the Seattle SuperSonics 113-81 in an exhibition game on Friday night.

Marion made 11-of-17 shots from the field and James Jones added 15 points, including 11 straight in the second quarter that helped the Suns take a commanding 58-42 lead at the half. Eddie House had 11 points, all in the fourth quarter.

Ray Allen led Seattle with 20 and Damien Wilkins scored 18.

The Suns have scored over 100 points in all three of their preseason victories.

Phoenix scored the first six points of the second half on two baskets by Marion and one by Jones, and extended their lead to 64-42. Their biggest advantage was 35 points, 102-67, midway through the fourth quarter.

Rashard Lewis, who had scored 28 points in Seattle's lone victory Wednesday night against Houston, missed all five of his field goal attempts and both free throws, and committed three turnovers in the first half. He finished with seven points.

Steve Nash, who is averaging an NBA-best nine assists per game in the preseason, had seven against Seattle.
