AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Tayshaun Prince scored 16 points and
Richard Hamilton added 15 as the Detroit Pistons routed the Miami
Heat 87-66 in an exhibition game on Saturday.
Shaquille O'Neal led the Heat with 28 points and 12 rebounds in
28 minutes. He made 12 of 18 from the field, but was just 4-of-11
from the free-throw line.
Carlos Delfino added 13 points for the Pistons and Ben Wallace
had 15 rebounds, while Dwyane Wade scored 10 for Miami.
O'Neal had 17 in the first half, but Wade was the only other
Miami player with as many as five, allowing the Pistons to take a
37-34 lead at the half.
Prince had 10 of his 16 points in the third quarter as Detroit
expanded its lead to 58-51.
Richard Hamilton scored the first four points of the fourth,
putting the Pistons up by 11 and both teams went to their benches
for the last nine minutes.
Detroit led by as many as 22 down the stretch.
Rasheed Wallace left the game in the third quarter with a leg
injury, but it is not considered serious.
