PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Corliss Williamson had 13 of his 18 points
in the first quarter to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 100-80
preseason win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.
Darius Miles had 14 points and Ruben Patterson added 13 for the
Blazers, who have lost four straight by 14 points or more.
Former Blazer Shareef Abdur-Rahim added 12 points off the bench
for the Kings and Brad Miller had nine points and 12 rebounds.
Joel Przybilla had 15 rebounds for Portland, which committed 21
The Kings opened up a double-digit lead early in the game and
never lost it. Sacramento led 15-4 after Williamson's fastbreak
layup and the Kings were up by as many as 26 in the first half.
Sacramento held a 48-24 halftime lead as Portland made only nine
field goals in the first half, shooting just 21 percent.
The Blazers did make a run in the second half. They made 13 of
22 shots to outscore the Kings 31-23 in the third quarter. Portland
cut the lead to 67-51 just before the end of the period.
Portland forward Zach Randolph sat out after leaving Thursday's
game against Utah with a sore knee.
