NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Gary Payton banked in a 15-footer as time expired to give the Miami Heat an 84-83 exhibition victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.

Dwyane Wade led Miami with 21 points, and Antoine Walker added 19. Heat center Shaquille O'Neal did not play because of a strained left calf.

Al Harrington and Donta Smith each scored 19 points for Atlanta.

Payton hit the winning shot after Miami grabbed two offensive rebounds.

Walker made two 3-pointers, one with 37 seconds left, to help Miami overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
