'Melo, Nene pace Nuggets in win over Bucks

DENVER (AP) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points and Nene had 25
to help the Denver Nuggets hold off the Milwaukee Bucks 118-115 in
an exhibition game on Wednesday night.

Nene scored seven straight points, including a layup off a
backward, no-look pass from Anthony, to give the Nuggets a 109-99
lead with 4 minutes left.

But the Bucks chipped away, pulling within one twice in the
final minute.

Trailing 118-115, T.J. Ford had a good look at a 3-pointer right
before the buzzer. It bounced three times on the rim before
bounding off and the Nuggets improved to 6-1 in this, their
second-to-last preseason game.

Michael Redd led the Bucks with 25 points. Ford had 22 points
and 10 assists. Andrew Bogut, the first pick in this year's draft,
had his best presesaon game, with 17 points, seven rebounds and
three assists.

The Bucks played a few hours after they traded Desmond Mason and
next year's first-round pick for 2004 All-Star Jamaal Magloire.
Magloire, however, was not in Denver for the game.

The Nuggets were without Kenyon Martin, who sat out with
soreness in the left knee he had surgically repaired in the
