T-Mac sits as Rockets get by Jazz

HOUSTON (AP) -- Yao Ming and David Wesley each scored 19 points
to help lead the Houston Rockets to an 88-80 preseason victory over
the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

Tracy McGrady sat out the game with tendinitis in both knees.
McGrady is expected to return for the Rockets final preseason game
against New Orleans at Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Deron Williams led the Jazz with 16 points.

Yao had eight in the fourth quarter as the Rockets led by as
many as 12 points.

Derek Anderson scored six and Jon Barry five in the third period
to help the Rockets maintain a 61-53 lead entering the final
quarter. The Jazz didn't have a player in double figures through
three quarters.

Wesley had 10 points in the second quarter as the Rockets led by
as many 15. At the half, Yao had 11 and Houston led 43-34.

Trying to cover Yao, veteran Greg Ostertag drew two fouls in the
opening 1:44. From the bench moments later, a disgruntled Ostertag
drew a technical foul for continuing to protest the calls.
