Suns use balanced attack to beat Kings

ALBUQUERQUE (AP) -- James Jones, Shawn Marion and Eddie House each scored 18 points and NBA MVP Steve Nash had 12 assists, leading the Phoenix Suns to a 112-102 preseason victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Sacramento's Bonzi Wells had 21 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday night.

An announced crowd of 11,888 cheered on Kings forward Kenny Thomas, who scored nine of Sacramento's first 15 points. Thomas, who played at Albuquerque High and in college at New Mexico, finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.

Phoenix, however, dominated from tipoff, leading by as many as 17 points. The Suns used a 17-2 run and accurate perimeter shooting, hitting 3-pointers on three straight possessions in the second quarter to build a 63-46 halftime lead.

The Suns shot 9-of-18 from 3-point range in the first half. Jones, who scored 14 points in the first half, finished with three 3-pointers for Phoenix, while Raja Bell and Jim Jackson added two each.
