Josh Howard scored 19 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Mavericks (4-4).

Dallas pulled as close as 85-83 early in the fourth quarter on Gerald Green's 3-pointer, but Nesterovic scored six points and Ford had four to kick off a 23-2 run that gave Indiana a 108-85 lead against the Mavs' reserves.

The Mavericks were without Jerry Stackhouse (foot) and Devean George (bruised hand). Mike Dunleavy (sore knee), Jeff Foster (upset stomach) and Travis Diener (sore foot) sat out for the Pacers.
