SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Matt Harpring has been bothered by a balky knee all season.
It didn't stop him from playing a season-high 36 minutes and scoring 28 points to help the Utah Jazz beat the Chicago Bulls 109-107 in overtime on Monday night.
"I was just getting a lot of shots tonight. You take what the defense gives you," Harpring said.
As good as Harpring was, the Jazz needed Mehmet Okur to win it for them.
Okur made a 3-pointer with 0.7 seconds left in overtime to secure the victory.
"Everyone knows that Mehmet can hit the 3, especially in crunch time. Lots of games, he hits the last shot," said Andrei Kirilenko, who had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz.
Devin Brown tipped an outlet pass that Kirilenko corralled with 3 seconds left. He passed it to Keith McLeod, who found Okur for the winner. The Jazz have won three of their last four games.
"It was right there. I was wide open so I took the shot. It feels great," said Okur, who had 15 points.
"The ball was in Deng's hand. He tried to get the ball to the point guard but Devin deflected it," Kirilenko said of the frantic finish.
"I should have held onto the ball. We would have won the game so it's my fault," Luol Deng said.
Andres Nocioni had a chance to win it for Chicago, but his 3-pointer came just after the final buzzer. Ben Gordon scored 35 points, including two free throws that gave Chicago a 106-100 lead with 1:31 left in overtime.
"We've lost so many games like this; they've been close games and we're trying to fight to the end, but a play has to be made," Chicago coach Scott Skiles said.
The Jazz made all the plays at the end and finished the game with a 9-1 run to send the Bulls to their fourth straight loss. Chicago is 0-4 on its seven-game trip.
Keith McLeod scored a layup with 1:16 left and after Gordon missed a shot, Okur hit two free throws to close the gap to 106-104. Nocioni turned the ball over and then Harpring hit a jumper to tie it. Chandler hit one of two free throws with 25 seconds left to give Chicago a 107-106 lead.
Harpring missed a jumper with eight seconds left, before Deng's outlet pass was tipped by Brown.
Harpring, who has received cortisone shots to counter swelling in his right knee after off-season surgery, made a 3-pointer from the corner when the Bulls went into a zone defense for the first time with 3:08 remaining in the fourth quarter.
"Matt was the only one who was executing our offense. He was hot and we were just trying to get the ball in his hands," Kirilenko said.
Then, when the Bulls drew with two on four free throws by Kirk Hinrich, Harpring rebounded his own missed shot and was fouled. He made one of two free throws.
Gordon came off a double-screen and made a 3-pointer with 7.6 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
Milt Palacio missed a jumper just before the buzzer that would have won it.
Gordon scored 15 of his points in the first half as the Bulls led by as many as 11 before settling for a 48-44 halftime lead.
McLeod scored 17 points for Utah, which is 11-5 at home since starting the season with seven losses in nine games.
Utah coach Jerry Sloan and Chicago coach Scott Skiles were both given technical fouls. ... The Bulls re-signed forward James Thomas to a second 10-day contract.
