LeBron ditched headband for teammates
LeBron James gave up his trademark headband back in March and hasn't worn it since. He told the Cleveland Plain Dealer: "I did it because I just wanted to look like my teammates. Just wanted to be one. Nothing more than that."
Curry's unlikely MVP numbers
Stephen Curry's 23.8 PPG average will be the lowest for an MVP winner since Steve Nash in 2005-06. He'll be the first MVP who didn't average either 24 PPG, 10 RPG or 10 APG since Karl Malone in the lockout-shortened '99 season.
Chris Paul questionable for Game 1
Clippers coach Doc Rivers told ESPN's Arash Markazi: "I know he had an MRI and that all came out pretty well. We'll wait until tomorrow to find out. You have to be careful. If there's any risk, he won't play, I can tell you that right now. I just don't know yet. We'll find out tomorrow."
Curry a coastal rarity
Stephen Curry will be the first player from a West Coast team other than the Lakers to win MVP honors since Bill Walton (Portland) in '77-78.

ZBo led his team in scoring, scored efficiently, and was a team worst -17. I don't think the last part was coincidence either
Houston has a problem with picks
Most experts are predicting the Clippers to beat the Rockets in their second-round series. Houston GM Daryl Morey noticed, and he says his team is using this as motivation – not long after the Clippers did the same thing vs. the Spurs. Bulletin board material?
Warriors cruise past Grizzlies
Memphis was playing without point guard Mike Conley, and the Warriors capitalized on his absence. Stephen Curry scored 22 points in Golden State's Game 1 win.
Thank you spurs fans for waiting for us at the airport even after we lost. You truly are the best fans. #gospursgo
Golden St. Warriors @warriors
Steve Kerr: "I loved the effort. We were sloppy with the ball."
Dubs take Game 1 with balanced attack
Five Warriors hit double digits and 10 different players scored. Said leading scorer Steph Curry: "We're a deep team. You don't win six or seven games without contributions from everybody."
Pardon the interruption? GS fans won't
Grizzlies guard Tony Allen interrupted a time out performance by children and then was later booed by fans -- including one annoyed spectator giving Allen two thumbs down -- as the player shot free-throws.
Game 1 storyline: 3-pointers
Memphis and Golden State are polar opposites when it comes to relying on 3's, and it showed in Game 1. The Warriors poured in 13 triples compared to Memphis' 3. Another way of looking at it: That's 30 more points on 3's for GS.
