SPLASH. The Warriors and their NBA MVP are headed to the Finals. This will be GSW's first trip to the NBA Finals in 40 years.

MVP enjoys the moment

Stephen Curry took a moment with his daughter, Riley, soaking in the Game 5 victory and the first NBA Finals appearance for the Warriors in 40 years.

James Harden at the podium

"Obviously, you want to win the championship. We went through a lot of adversity, a lot of injuries ... this isn't where we wanted it to end at, but this has been a really good season for us."

Kerr on new blood in the Finals

"It's great for the league. It's fantastic for the fanbases. ... Both fanbases have supported their teams for so many years. It's great to see that loyalty rewarded." Live on SportsCenter

Stephen Curry: 'We're going to enjoy this'

“Two years ago we were sitting on this court after a second-round loss to San Antonio thanking [the fans] for their support. Fast forward two years later, we’re four wins away from the goal. So this is pretty special.”

Steve Kerr at the podium

"Andre Iguodala might have had the greatest 6-point game I've ever seen in my life. ... Andre is one of the smartest defensive players I've ever seen. He reminds me a lot of Scottie Pippen." Live on SportsCenter

Kevin McHale at the podium

"We didn't move the ball the way we needed to tonight. Got a little stagnant. ... I didn't think [Golden State] played great, but we just couldn't muster enough consecutive stuff." Live on SportsCenter

#PitinoGame: Hasta la vista, Houston

Houston mounted an epic comeback to make it to the conference finals, but "heart of a champion" isn't walking through that door.

First-time MVP in the Finals

Stephen Curry and LeBron James will meet in the NBA Finals, just the 6th time a first-time MVP reached the NBA Finals in the same season as winning MVP against a multiple-time MVP. It hasn't happened since Karl Malone won MVP honors in 1997 before facing Michael Jordan in the NBA Finals.

Final: Warriors 104, Rockets 90

It wasn't the usual suspects, but the Warriors got it done. Harrison Barnes dropped in 24 points and Festus Ezeli added 12 points and 9 rebounds as Golden State eliminates Houston from the NBA playoffs. Box score
