In 2011-12, Stephen Curry played just 26 games (started 23) and averaged 28.2 minutes and 14.7 points per game. In 2014-15, he won MVP.

Curry wins MVP with 23.8 PPG

Magic Johnson just edged him for the best scoring average by a point guard on a 65-win team. He led the '86-87 Lakers with 23.9 PPG. Magic went on to win the MVP and Finals MVP that season.
