Silver: Resting players unique problem

Adam Silver on Spurs coach Gregg Popovich resting starters: "He's doing it to get his players more rest. So we're focusing on the schedule to try to get rid of more back-to-backs and four games in five nights. ... It's very different to legislate to [coaches] a minimum number of minutes."

Adam Silver talks tanking, playoffs

On Pardon the Interruption, the NBA commish said that while he's not ready to seed the playoffs 1-16, divisions have "probably outlived their usefulness." On the extreme tanking of the 76ers, Silver admitted, "It's not great basketball to watch, but I don't have an easy solution to it."

Paul still unknown for Game 1

Chris Paul went through a light shootaround with the Clippers today but is a game-time call for tonight's Game 1 of the conference semis with the Rockets. Coach Doc Rivers: "If there's any risk, he won't play, I can tell you that right now. I just don't know yet."
