LeBron James reaches 2K points again
MIAMI -- Heat forward LeBron James has now scored 2,000 points in seven straight seasons.
LeBron Gets An Oscar
LeBron James and Oscar Robertson are the only players with six seasons of at least 2,000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists.
Single Season, NBA History
James entered Wednesday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with 1,998 points this season. He made a pair of free throws with 2:12 remaining in the first quarter to reach the 2,000 milestone. James finished the game with 29 points, but the Heat lost 90-85 to fall a half-game back of the Boston Celtics in the race for the East's No. 2 seed.
The NBA's two-time reigning MVP is the eighth player to score 2,000 points seven times. At 26, he's the youngest member of that club.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also scored 2,000 points seven times, though not consecutively.
