Georgia Tech captures first NCAA women's tennis title

ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia Tech rallied past UCLA to capture the women's NCAA tennis championship with a 4-2 victory Tuesday night.

Senior Alison Silverio clinched the title with her 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles over UCLA's Tracy Lin.

It was Georgia Tech's first women's tennis title. UCLA had also been seeking its first NCAA title. Georgia Tech had the support of hundreds of rooters on the campus of archrival Georgia.
